William L. Dahl, son of the late William C. Dahl and wife, nee Ida Brautigam, was born on 9 August 1900 in Gasconade County. He passed away suddenly on April 3 at the age of 73 years, 7 months and 24 days. Mr. Dahl was united in marriage on 17 October 1922, to Miss Edna Mehrhoff. Mrs. Dahl preceded him in death in 1938. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Vera) Gerling, New Haven, Mrs. Eddie (Ethel) Kohlbusch, Berger, Mrs. Leroy (Dorothy) Quick, Hazelwood, Mrs. Norris (Marie) Kase, Clearwater, FL; two sons, Vernon Dahl, of Owensville and Alfred Dahl, of New Haven; two sisters, Mrs. Flora Zastrow and Miss Clara Dahl, both of New Haven; two brothers, Emil Dahl of Hermann and Herbert Dahl of Ladonia; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Elmer Stoeppelmann of Berger; 25 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 6 at the Blumer Chapel in Hermann with interment in the Dahl Family Cemetery, Berger route.
