Deceased Name: ADKINS Lee F. Adkins

ADKINS Lee F. Adkins, age 72, of Groveport, went to be with his Lord, Monday, July, 3, 2006 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was a retired machinist for Owens-Illinois with 42 years of service and a member of the AFL-CIO 106 & 306, attended Rohr Road and Bloom Baptist Churches. A graduate of Wayne High School in Wayne, WV, he was a United States Army Veteran and assigned to the Presidential Honor Guard under President Eisenhower. Lee is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Edith Adkins; children, Cathy (Steve) Ackley of Springfield, OH; David (Kelly) Adkins of Canal Winchester, OH and Chris (Debbie) Adkins of Kansas City, KA; grandchildren, Kimberlee and Kyle Ackley, Audrey, Nathaniel, Brittany, Kaleigh, and Corey Adkins; sisters and brothers, Vada Stephenson, Cedric Adkins, JoEllen Mills, Janice Parsons, Linda Scheu, Ernestine Brown, Charlene Paulsen, and Keith Adkins, numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and cousins. Friends may visit 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 West Waterloo Street, Canal Winchester, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday with Rev. David Frasure and Rev. Jerry Sargent officiating. Interment Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, Canal Winchester. Friends who wish may contribute to Mt. Carmel Hospice in Lee's memory.
