They farmed the early part of their married life in the Blanchardville-Argyle area before moving to Dodgeville in 1966.
Dorothy is survived by daughters, Janice Meudt, Judith (Donne) Granberg, JoEllen (Russ) Schulz, and JoAnn (Steve) Theobald; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, her son-in-law, Larry Meudt and her grandson, Mike Granberg.

Dorothy E Spani, age 95, of Mt Mt Horeb, formerly o away in the early morning on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Ingleside Manor Nursing Home in Mt Horeb.Dorothy was born on December 17, 1917 in Dodgeville, a daughter of the late Arthur and Ida Cutler (Severson) Cutler.
On October 6, 1942, she married Joseph A Spani at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dodgeville.Dorothy and her late husband Joe started their married lives in Blanchardville where they farmed. In 1966 they moved back to Dodgeville where they built the home they retired in.
Dorothy leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her daughters, Janice Meudt(special friend Ted Sawle), of Ridgeway, JoEllen (Russ) Schulz, of Fairbault, MN and JoAnn (Steve) Theobald, of Dodgeville; her son-in-law, Donnie Granberg, of Blue Mounds; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Joseph, her Daughter Judy Grandberg, her grandson, Mike Grandberg, her son-in-law, Larry Meudt, her Brothers, Donald and Curtis Cutler and her sister, AnnaMae Godfrey.
