According to the 1940 US Census, Helen and Heinz were living in New York City, probably as part of the large German-Jewish emigre' community. He was listed as a salesman of scientific instruments.
Heinz died December 24, 1942 in New York City of unknown natural causes.
Helen returned to Chicago, and eventually retired to Sarasota, Florida.
Upon her death in 1981, Helen was interred with Heinz in the Rosehill Mausoleum in Chicago. Her parents' crypt is adjacent to the Samuel's.(A-1782/1783)
