HENDERSON -
David C. Atkinson, 46, of Henderson, Mason County, died Thursday in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio, of a heart attack.
He was a construction electrician for Delta Jackson Co. at the James M. Gavin Power Plant in Cheshire, Ohio.
Mr. Atkinson was a member of Concord Baptist Church, Union and Masonic Lodge.
He was a World War II Navy veteran.
Surviving: wife, Maude Carriger Atkinson; daughters, Mrs. Kermit Tolbert of Sissonville, Mrs. Steve Pearson of Henderson, Vickie, Norma and Donna, all at home; sons, David and Charles "Kippie", both at home; sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Myers of Ypsilanti, Mich., Mrs. Carol Gunter of Orlando, Fla.; brothers, Donald Gene of Poca, Paul R. of Albuquerque, N.M.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Concord Baptist Church with the Rev. William "Bud" Hatfield and the Rev. Herbert Capehart officiating. Burial with Masonic rites will be in Concord Cemetery.
The body is at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, and will be taken to the church an hour before the service.
