Aged Woman Killed In Fall From Door
Falling from a doorway to a brick pavement, Mrs. Caudall V. Ashen, aged 70, suffered injuries of which she died last night at 6:15 o'clock at Parrish Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Ashen was taken to the hospital a little after 4 o'clock in the afternoon from the home of her daughter, Mrs. N.L. Hall, of 116 Fort Lane, with whom she lived.
Mrs. Ashen, a native of Raleigh and former resident of Berkley, was the widow of George W. Ashen. She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Hall and Mrs. J.F. Knight, of Tampa, Fla .and a sister, Mrs. Martha Byrum, of Durham, N.C., who was visiting here at the time of her death.
The body was taken to the funeral parlors of J.R. Williams, 13 Chesapeake Avenue, South Norfolk.
