Little Lucy Gertrude Rice, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Rice, died
February 14th. Lucy was only 10 months and 4 days old. She was a bright
and beautiful child and it was hard for her parents to give her up. The
funeral service was conducted in the Methodist church and the little body
was laid to rest in the Walnut Cemetery. Lucy was so beautiful in her
little white casket, she reminded me of a little angel quietly sleeping.
So sleep on little Lucy until you shall be awakened at the resurrection of
the just to be transplanted in the kingdom of God to sleep no more.
