Dorothy was born on a ranch in Montell, Texas, to the late Monroe D. and Erie Love Cloudt. She graduated from Rocksprings High School in 1943. Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gustine, Texas. God, family and the Rancho Not so Grande, were dear to her heart. She loved the tranquility of country living. Her other interest were moral character and respectability, she was a friend of many.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Charles Joe Adair; her second husband, Bobby Kennedy; and sisters, Erie Nell Luce and Clara Bell Wallace.
She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Fasel and her husband, Jerry, of Austin, Texas, Dee Middleton and her husband, Mike, of Lamkin, Texas; son, Lee McCullough, of Lamkin, Texas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
