Al's parents were Peter Charles Jordan (1850-1916) & Mary Ann McCoy (1855-1939). Both are buried in St. Peter & Paul Cemetery, outside of Gilbert, IA. Al married Lulu B. Richards on 12 Feb 1906 in Boone, IA. Their children were Joseph P. Jordan, Leo David Jordan, Edna Maire Jordan, and Ella Mae Jordan Weber.

Funeral Services were held Monday morning at St. Cecelia's Catholic church for Alphonso L. Jordan, retired farmer. Mr. Jordan died last Friday at the Alvin Weber home at LuVerne. He was born Sept. 15, 1878, at Boone, la. and had been a resident of this community for 34 years, coming to Kossuth in 1913, where he farmed near Ledyard until 1917, when he moved to Irvington. Children surviving are Leo, of Ventura; Edna,Waterloo; Joseph, Los Angeles; and Mrs. Alvin Weber, LuVerne. He also has one sister and three brothers surviving. McCullbugh Funeral Home was in charge of services.
