Two men were killed, one almost instantly by locomotives in Louisville yesterday.
Fergus Donaghue 78 years old 1515 McHenry Street, died at 6:15 o'clock last night at the City Hospital after suffering the loss of both legs when he was run over by a Louisville & Nashville Railroad engine in the East Louisville yards of the company at noon yesterday.
The decapitated body of Joseph Judd 70 1841 Baird Street, retired farmer was found yesterday near the track of the Kentucky & Indians Terminal and Twenty-Second Street. The father of thirteen children. Dr. Edgar L. Gorbett, Deputy Coroner, said he had been killed accidentally.
Mr. Judd is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sarah Judd: eight daughters, Mrs. H. Whitehouse, Mrs. W.H. Thurman, Mrs. William Girder, Mrs. Edward Caldwell, Mrs. Larry Dundon, Mrs. Edward Joyce, Mrs. James Feathers, Mrs. Thomas Tolikas and five sons, Rollin, William, James, Henry L. and Owen Judd.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow at Mrs. Thurman's residence, 1905 Tyler Avenue. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Donahue is survised by his widow Mrs. Mary Donaghue: a son John Donaghue, and four daughters Mrs. Harry Sale, Mrs. John Berghus, Mrs. Anna Bosark and Mrs. Margaret King, and a sister Mrs. Catherine Desse.
Joseph was the son of Parthena Breeding and John William Judd.
