A son of Patrick & Margarette Farrell Burns.
He died in Detroit of a fractured skull suffered in
a fall in his home at 4814 Brooklyn Avenue.
He was 54 years of age.
He spent his early life in Rossiter,Indiana County,Pennsylvania, where he was employed as a Coal Miner. For the past 30 years he has lived in Detroit where he had been employed for the last 15 years by the Acme Transfer Company.

He was survived by the following brothers & sisters:
Chris and John Burns, of Detroit;
Joseph Burns, Mrs. William Wuesterwald and Mrs. Frances Burgess, all of East Detroit;
Paul Burns of Royal Oak; and an Uncle, John Murray of Punxsutawney,Pennsylvania.
A funeral Mass was sung at St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church in Detroit. Burial was made at the Holy Cross Cemetery near Detroit.
