Albert H. Herndon is the son of Augustus "Gus" James Herndon and Mary Ellen (Moss) Herndon.

He was a Merchant.

Saturday, 7 December 1929---GADSDEN TIMES

A.H. Herndon, 53, one of the most prominent business men of Alabama City, died at his home there Friday night at 10 o'clock following an illness extending over one year. He had been seriously sick for only two days, however, and his death came as a great shock to the friends of the family throughout the district.

Funeral services will be held at the home at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon and the burial will follow at Forrest cemetery

Surviving are the widow; one son, Lowe Herndon; two brothers, Charlie Herndon, Memphis and T.D. Herndon, Alabama City, and one sister, Mrs. Charles West of Alabama City.

Mr. Herndon had been a citizen of Alabama City for 30 years and was a merchant at Canterbury Station for a long time.
