JOHN F. COOK was instantly killed on the Pere Marquette railroad (which crosses his farm) May 29, 1908, aged 74 years, 3 months, after a residence of over 42 years on the farm where he died. He leaves one son CHARLES S. COOK of Cascade and one daughter MRS. MELISSA H. VAN AMBURG, of Northern Michigan and many other relatives and friends to mourn his sudden death. The funeral was held from the house Sunday, Rev. J.G. Wilson officiating and burial by the side of his wife in Cascade cemetery.
