Tonopah Pioneer Dies Suddenly At Home
"Tonopah, Jun 12- William D. Shoe, a resident of Nye County since 1904 and prominent Tonopah business man, died suddenly at his home Wednesday night a few minutes after returning from work.
A native of Ohio, he was seventy-two years old. He was one of the first operators of the Montana Cafe here for a time resided in Goldfield. His early life was spent in the midwest, from where he went to Alaska. For the last several years he has operated the Antlers Club here with Albert.
Mr. Shoe leaves his wife, Mrs. Mina Shoe, and a daughter, Genevieve Shoe, both of Tonopah, and a brother and sister in (Dayton) Ohio. He was a member of the Eagles and Elks Lodge. Funeral arrangements will be announced later."
