Clinton Barnhardt enlisted in Co.E,154th New York Infantry on Sept.24,1862.As part of the 11th Corps at Gettysburg on July 1st,he was one of the few men not to be killed or captured as the 154th was routed by rebel forces.On January 8,1864,he was commissioned a 1st Lieut.and was discharged due to a leg wound on February 21,1865.He served as a minister after the war.
