Ida Clarice Boone Bryant, 86, of Independence, Virginia, passed away Friday, September 19, 2008, at Waddell Nursing Home, in Galax, Virginia. She was the widow of Harvey Lee Bryant who passed away June 15, 1985. She was born March 16, 1922, in Scottsville, NC, to Frank Allen Boone and Cynthia Eunice Hill Boone. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, M. N. and J. Blevins of Sebring, Fla., B. J. and L. I. Parsons of Bassett, VA, H. B. Bryant of Independence, VA, and N. B. and R. Hensdell of Independence, VA.: a half brother and spouse, L. and G. Boone of Sieverville, Tenn.: Nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; ten step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, on Sunday, September 21, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Independence, Virginia.
Family will received family and friends at 139 Miles Street, Independence, Virginia.
The funeral will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel, in Independence, with burial in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The Revs. Ted Barlett and Tom Burcham officiating.
