She is survived by her daughter, two sons, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a great host of friends..
She was an active member of the community with her great love of helping people. She helped starting Meadowbrook Nursing Home, helping with getting food for the needy, and helping with anything needed at her church First Baptist of Van Alstyne.
Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Friday, November 28, 2014 at Scoggins Funeral Home in Van Alstyne with Rev. Jimmy Tarrant officiating, and burial will follow at the Van Alstyne Cemetery.
