He was born on April 13, 1949 in Delmar, Alabama to Bennie Daniel and Ollie Mae Chambers. He was valedictorian of his graduating class of Winston County High School in 1967. In addition to being a great husband and father, he was a Christian man who truly loved the Lord, his family, and Alabama football. In the words of his son John, "He was the greatest man, father, and husband I will ever know.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 16, 2012 from 6-9pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11am. Officiating will be Reverend Homer Jones and Craig Daniel. Burial will be at Double Springs Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Christie Daniel; sons, John Daniel, and Bobby Shane Daniel; brothers, Shirl Daniel, Johnny Daniel, Truman Daniel, Waymon Daniel and Wayne Daniel; and sisters, Hazel Smith, Wanda Fanin, Faye Williams and Dean Bell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Ollie Mae Chambers Daniel; brothers, Gene Daniel and Lee Daniel; and sister, Betty Jo Daniel.
