Arthur L. Bostwick
Arthur Lawrence Bostwick, 94, of U.S. Rt. 23 South, Piketon, formerly of North Street, Waverly died at 9:40 a.m. Thursday, February 15, 2001, at Pleasant Hill Manor, Piketon.
He was born May 29, 1906, in Waverly to the late Charles and Chloe Belle (Beckwith) Bostwick. On October 8, 1943 he married Opal C. (Boydston) Rapp Bostwick, who died July 2, 1994. He is survived by step-son, D. Tim (Regina) Rapp, of Lucasville; sister, Viola Louise Sprouse; brother, Albert Eugene Bostwick and niece, Kay Yingling, all of Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Homer and Robert Bostwick and four sisters, Margaret Shoemaker, Ethel Lamb, Mary Jane Manillo and Gladys Irene Lewis.
Mr. Bostwick was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and a retired self-employed painter.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2001, in the Boyer Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Snyder officiating. Burial in Waverly Evergreen Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until the service hour on Saturday.
