This was a woman who lived life to the absolute fullest. She especially loved the holiday season and always went "all out" during that time. We lost her in the early morning hours of Thanksgiving Day 1989 which made her death all that more heart-wrenching. Thanksgiving was always such a joyful holiday for her.

She never missed going to the Indiana State Fair and we often joked about "eating our way" through the Fair. She also loved to play cards, especially euchre. She had a wonderful hearty laugh and because she had a great sense of humor we were blessed to hear that laugh more or less on a daily basis.

Life has never been the same in all these long years she's been gone, and she is very sadly missed by all who knew her and loved her. She was my mother and my very best friend on this earth.

Weep not for me though I am gone
Into the gentle night.
Grieve if you will, but not for long
upon my soul's sweet flight.
I am at peace, my sweet soul's at rest
There is no need for tears.
For with your love I was so blessed
For all those many years.
There is not pain, I suffer not,
The fear now is all gone.
Put now these things out of our thoughts,
In your memory I live on.
Remember not my fight for breath
Remember not the strife.
Please do not dwell upon my death,
But celebrate my life.

Her Journey's Just Begun

Don't think of her as gone away -
her journey's just begun,
life holds so many facets -
this earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how she must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched...
for nothing loved is ever lost -
and she is loved so much.
