Ansel Lawless was accidently killed at Carrs, KY., seven miles below Vancesburg, last monday. He had gone down to mine lime, and in preparing, cut down a tree in order to clear a road when the log suddenly started and rolled over him. He died within an hour. The remains were brought here (Ironton?) and interned at Woodland today. Mr. Lawless was a most worthy man. He came to Ironton to build the Woodland Cemetery bridge and make the fill, many years ago, and has resided here ever since. Only words of kindness and affection linger with his memory.
