Mr. John Robert Thompson, Jr. affectionately known as "J.J." by family and friends passed away on Friday, April 13, 2012 at the Wayne Memorial Hospital Goldsboro, North Carolina.

J.J. was born in Wilson, North Carolina on March 15, 1989 to Angela Carol Williams and John Robert Thompson. He was employed with Greene County Public Schools where he was a football coach at Greene Central High School.

Believing in the love of God, J.J. joined the St. Delight Missionary Baptist Church in Walstonburg.

Loving memories are forever cherished by his mother, Angela Williams (George) if the home; his father, John Robert Thompson (Keisha) of South Plainfield, NJ; two daughters, Jaliyah Thompson of Roanoke, VA and Joniya Stanley of Kinston, NC; his sisters, LaToya Thompson (Bubba) of the home and Keyona Thompson of South Plainfield, NJ; three special friends, Kecia Page of Roanoke, VA, Latrice Queen of Washington, DC and Lanee Stanley of Kinston, NC; fifteen aunts, Beulah Williams, Yvonne Barnes, Mary Fleming, Ester Wingate (Lancey), Corine Howard (Jeff), Joyce Woodard (Rev.
