Son of David Daniel and Ida Caraway Hanna, he married Gladys Francis, was owner-operator of a service station, lived at 450 45th Ave, Longview, died at St. Johns Hospital of irreversible shock, pneumonia, pancytopenia, and lymphocytic lymphoma, per death certificate 146-81 4722, whose informant was his wife. Howard Walter Hanna, 72, of 450 24th, Longview, died Feb. 27, 1981 in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 23, 1908, in Hume, MO.

He lived in Longview area since 1936, and owned and operated several service stations in this area. He was an avid fisherman.

Surviving are his wife, Gladys; a son, Harold E. Hanna, Richmond, CA; a grandson, David Lee Hanna of Richmond; three sisters, Ola Mae Hardin, Los Angeles, CA, Maude Lint, Lakewood, CA, and Margaret Dennis, Hume; two brothers, Cecil B., Hume, and Lawrence, Mullan, ID.

Services will be at 2 pm Tuesday at Steele Chapel with Rev. Earl Sample officiating. Interment will be in Longview Memorial Park.
