Memorial services for James Leland Chetlain, 31, son of Arthur L. and Alice J. Chetlain of Gig Harbor will be held Saturday, April 22, 2 p.m. at the Peninsula Lutheran Church, 6509 38th Ave. NW, Gig Harbor. He died Thursday, April 6, 1989 following a lengthy illness. Chetlain was born July, 7, 1957. He moved to Gig Harbor as a high school sophomore, graduating from Peninsula High School. He resided in Gig Harbor for about six years. He was employed as a field auditor for Egghead Software in Issaquah. He collected antique clocks. He leaves behind a diverse family of friends, and is remembered for his disarming sense of humor. He is survived by his parents; a grandmother, Anna L. Jensen of Seattle; two sisters, Karen Chetlain and Anne Chetlain Pearce of Seattle; a brother, John R. Chetlain of Tacoma; and aunt, Marcia C. Gentry of Fox Island and an uncle and aunt, Leland T. and Joanne C. Johnson of Olympia; and a niece Samantha Reille Pearce.
