Tanner M'Kane Evers, age 8 years, 5 months and 28 days, left his mother's arms and stepped into the arms of Jesus on April 14, 2012 after a valiant 5+ year battle with Neuroblastoma cancer. He has won.
Tanner walked through each day of his illness with courage and dignity and was a true inspiration to all who encountered him. He had the most beautiful blue eyes with long, dark lashes and a smile that just made your heart happy. He loved his God, his Sissi, his family and his Longhorns.
We would like to thank his medical team for loving and caring so well for Tanner, our friends and church family for supporting us through this journey, the UT Athletics Dept. for striving so hard to make a little boy's wishes come true, the Neuroblastoma community for their support and dedication to finding a cure, and most of all Jesus for walking beside each of us every day and keeping our hearts full of hope.
