Randall Estes, 25, killed on Motorcycle.

He had just had lunch with his brother and borrowed the brother's motorcycle to ride home. Randall Paul Estes, 25, of Alder Springs, was killed on that motorcycle Friday afternoon.

Born in Arab, he attended Holly Pond and Douglas schools and was home-schooled. He attended Marshall Technical School and took dual-enrollment courses at Gadsden State. He graduated from Douglas High School in 2005.

Mr. Estes worked as a junior technician at Warren Distribution in Guntersville. In his spare time he loved to hunt and fist. Nicknamed "Ran Ran," he loved loud music, his 1985 Ford Thunderbird and anything fast, his mother said.

When the fatal accident happened, Robert Estes was driving a car behind the motorcycle. He pulled his dying brother out of a culvert, his mother said.

Randall Estes is survived by his wife, Christa Howard the Huntsville area; his parents, Joann and Paul Estes of Guntersville; a brother, Robert Estes of Guntersville; a special nephew, Brian Estes of Guntersville; Grandparents A.F. and Fay Estes of Holly Pond, and a friend who was like a brother, Shannon Stracener.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Beatrice Estes, his grandfather Jesse Mays, and Grandmother Emma Mays.

The funeral was Monday at Marshall Memorial Chapel led by ministers Bro. James Bridges and Bro. Matt Long and conducted by Marshall Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Estes was buried at Brooklyn Cemetery in Holly Pond.

"He was laid to rest at his grandmother's feet, where he used to play," his father said.

Pallbearers were Aaron Knight, Aaron Stone, Justin Hoff, Zane Holcomb, Shannon Stracener and Richard Osborne. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Estes, Brian Estes, Chad Howard, Will Howard and Jackson Daniel.
