Jennie Lynd Wilson Rees, 86, our precious mother and grandmother passed away on September 2, 2006.
Mother was born Aug. 28, 1920 in Randolph, Utah. She was the youngest child of George and Florabelle Gray Wilson. She graduated from South Rich High School in 1938. She married Gordon P. Dugan Rees on March 30, 1940 in Randolph, Utah. She and Dugan moved their family to Brigham City in 1951 where she lived at the time of her passing. Dugan passed away July 24, 1978.
Mother was a wonderful cook and she loved to fix meals for her family and friends. Her home was always open. She was the best grandmother who gave unconditional love to her cherished grandchildren.
She worked at Intermountain School for 21 years retiring in 1980. She went to work at Brigham Medical Clinic in 1980 and retired in 2001 just after her 80th birthday.
She is survived by two children Randy (Louann) Rees, Pleasant View, UT; Nancy (Robert) Lund Perry, UT. She has six grandchildren, Michele (Todd ) Moyes, Troy Rees, Chad Lund, Jeffrey Lund, Kelly (Joy) Rees, Dugan Rees; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son Lanny and one grandson. She was the last surviving member of the George Wilson family.
We wish to thank her grandson Jeffrey for his loving care. We also want to thank Kathy Ogden, Country Lane Assisted Living Staff, and Alpine Hospice for their care.
Funeral services will be Thursday September 7, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Myers Mortuary 205 South 100 East, Brigham City. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday September 6th and on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the mortuary.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery
