Cora Bernice Burris - 85, Truro, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday morning, April 20, 2012, at Debert Court, Debert. Born August 16, 1926, in Dutch Settlement, Halifax County, she was a daughter of the late Stewart and Mae (Isenor) Isenor.

Cora was a member of Saint George's Anglican Church, Bible Hill, until its closure in August 2009 and she worked at Stanfield's for 36 years. Cora is survived by her sister, Frances (Jim) Langille, Dartmouth; brothers, Calvin Isenor, Earl (Shirley) Isenor, all of Bible Hill; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Earl Morrell Burris; sisters, Jennie (George) Coulter; Evelyn in infancy; one other in infancy; brother, Judson (Edna) Isenor; sister-in-law, Joan Isenor.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2012, The Reverend Lori Ramsey and The Reverend Gary Yetman officiating. Interment in Bible Hill Cemetery. Family flowers only. If so desired, donations in Cora's memory to Bible Hill Cemetery or VON are welcomed.
