'Emett' as he was called was also known as the 4th John, he was given the first name of his Gt.Grandfather, Grandfather and his Father. He married the former Eva Maude Landers in 1907 and they had 2 daughters, Dorothy & Alice. Emett was a farmer and owned a farm in the area where the present (2012) Lewiston Porter high school now stands, this was property both he and his brother Frank inherited from their father. After his death, his wife remarried and the family moved to Niagara Falls.
