They lived briefly in Gary, Indiana (likely he worked in the Steel Mills), and they they are found in Ohio by 1852. Julia gave birth to Elizabeth "Lizzie" and Catherine "Kate" in the late 1850s in Cleveland.
At first, this family lived down on the Cleveland flats, right off the Cuyahoga River in an area known as "Irishtown". Later, this family lived in the Tremont District of Cleveland, on the west side of the river. In fact, Julia's address at time of death was given as 39 Herschel Street, which was an earlier name for West 5th Street. This home was still standing when we were in Cleveland in 2018.
Later, after Julia's first husband died, she remarried Thomas Cleator/Clayton, also sometimes spelled Cleater or Clater.
This entire line is originally from County Louth in Ireland. Julia is buried with her husband Andrew, her daughter, Catherine Cummings Brady, and son-in-law George Brady -- and there may be more family members nearby. We have been unable so far to find any of their stones.
