Lee Ann was the daughter of Paul and Mary Virginia Lusk Poor. She married Jack E. Girard in 1959. They later divorced. She then married David Nation Sr. She was the mother of four children from her first marriage, Jacklyn "Jackie" Girard, Joseph "Joe" Girard, Thomas "Tom" Girard, and Julie Girard, and a son from her second marriage, David Nation Jr.Lee Ann Poor Girard Nation

Lee Ann Nation, 57, of Taylorville, Illinois died Sunday Jan. 18, 1998 in St. Vincent's Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Nation was born May 7, 1940 in Tayloprville, the Daughter of Paul Eldon and Mary Virginia Lusk Poor. She was first married to Jack Girard on January 1, 1959 in Taylorville, they divorced and she married David E. Nation Sr. in 1978 and they divorced. She was a member of the Davis Memorial Christian Church and was a sales associate at Walmart in Taylorville.
Surviving are three sons, Thomas and Joseph Girard both of Decatur, Illinos, David E. Nation Jr. of Taylorville; two daughters, Jacklyn Boyd of Taylorville and Julie Riggs of Bernie, Missouri. 13 grandchildren, April, Ashley, Alex and Ryan Riggs of Bernie, Missouri; Josh, Brook and Jacob Newberry, Sasha Boyd and Dalton Austin all of Taylorville; Jackie, Tiffany, Jenny and Amanda Girard all of Decatur. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Paul Eldon (Sandy) Poor and one sister, Mary Virginia (Ginger) Wurl and one nephew Alex Richard Wurl.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. in the Connolly-McClure Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 on Jan. 20, 1998 in the Connolly-McClure Funeral Home.
