"Mrs. Helen Margaret Boyd Petrie, Topeka, died Saturday in a Topeka rest home. She was born in Graham Count south of Lenora and was graduated from Norton High School and Kansas State University. She also attended Emporia State Teachers College, the University of Denver and the University of Washington. She taught in high schools in Kansas and taught in a junior high school at Woodland, Wash. for 14 years. She was married to Benjamin R. Petrie in 1918 at Pratt. He died in 1961. Survivors include a son, Capt. Benjamin R. Petrie, Jr., Gaithersburg, Md.; 3 daughters, Mrs. Helen E. Reed, Topeka, Mrs. Margaret Bontly, Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Louise Unrein, Topeka. Services will be Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery."
