Lillian H. Wallace (1880-1933) was born at Cobourg, Canada the daughter of James T. Hewitt and Sarah Hopkins Wallace. She was reared in Toronto and had been a former resident of New Orleans before arriving at Biloxi, Mississippi. Mrs. Wallace was an Episcopalian and worshiped at the Church of the Redeemer in Biloxi.

Lillian Hewitt Wallace was survived by her spouse, Dr. George Walton Wallace (1874-1960); Hewitt W. Wallace (1913-1963), a son; and Mariam Wallace, a daughter; and brothers, William Hewitt of Toronto and Arthur Hewitt of NYC.(from The Daily Herald, April 20, 1933, p. 1)
