Grace was 1 of 12 children born to Alfred & Annie (Willett) Nickerson. Her parents were born in England. She married Frank H. Buttery on January 20, 1915 & had 10 kids: Wilbur; Mildred who married Wm. Crewe; Lewis; John Sr.; Ruth who married Dale Myers; Donald A. Sr.; Loretta who married Jim Canfield; Mary; Robert & Jeanette who married George Mattoon Sr. Grace was a farmers wife & as a widow she worked at Hardings Restuarant in Youngstown. She loved to cook, bake & can her own fruits & vegetables. She even picked fruit for various farmers in the area as well as her own fruit trees. She could even drive a horse-drawn wagon in her younger days. She was an AVID BINGO PLAYER!!
