Pauline E. (Rentzel) Ness, 95, of York, died Friday morning at Manor Care Health Services North. She was the wife of the late George E. Ness.

The service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Cre matory, 1551 Kenneth Road, York. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. View ing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Paul W. Gausmann, will of ficiate.

Mrs. Ness was born July 13, 1907, in York. She was the daughter of the late Curtis J. and Rosa M. (Jacobs) Rentzel.

She retired from York Wallcoverings. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and the seniors group; past president of West York V.F.W. Post 8951 Ladies Auxiliary and Lincolnway Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary; and was active with Boy Scouts of America.

Mrs. Ness is survived by a son, George E. Ness II of Williamsport, Lycoming County; two daughters, Delores R. Bailey and Gloria A. Brokenshire, both of York; 14 grandchil dren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ness was preceded in death by a son, Glenn C. Ness.
