Nolan Lee Saxton
Nolan Lee Saxton, 12, of Scottville died Saturday, July 5, from injuries sustained in a plane accident in Pensacola, Fla. His mother, Anita L. Saxton, was also killed in the accident.
Nolan Lee Saxton was born April 12, 1984 in Ludington. He attended Mason County Central Schools where he had completed the sixth grade. He was a member of the ski club and an avid story writer. He received an award for being "The most entertaining storyteller" this past year. He collected books.
Nolan is survived by his father, Randy L. Saxton of Scottville; his paternal grandparents, Bill and Beverly Saxton of Pentwater; his maternal grandmother, L. Louise Magnuson of Muskegon; three sisters, Bridgette Renee Saxton of Ann Arbor, Stephanie Michelle Saxton of Kalamazoo, and Spencer Jordan Saxton, at home; one brother, Derek Gabriel Saxton, also at home; Uncle Colin and Aunt Miriam Saxton and his cousins, Andrew, Mark, Ellen Miriam and Kevin, all of Grand Rapids; and his Uncle Brad Saxton of Ludington.
Services for Nolan Lee Saxton will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Community Church of Ludington with Robert Wrasse officiating. Interment will follow in Center Riverton Cemetery. The family will be present at the Dorrell Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. to receive friends.
Memorials may be directed to the Berean Bible Church of grand Rapids or to the Saxton memorial find with envelopes available at the Dorrell Funeral Home.
