Austin R. Shook, 28, of South Buffalo Township, passed away suddenly Saturday, April 21, 2012, at his residence. Austin was born in Natrona Heights, Sept. 17, 1983, the son of Terrie Lynn (Roy) Young, of South Buffalo Township, and the late Lorman Shook. He enjoyed going to the beach, and using Facebook with his friends. Austin is survived by his son, Dominick Pekarovich, of Pittsburgh; his sister, Lisa (Russell) Smith, of Arnold; stepbrother, Tom Young, of Gibsonia; two stepsisters, Samantha (Jude) Padilla, of Georgia, and Ashleigh Young, of Freeport; and maternal grandmother, Doris Pajerski, of Sarver. He is also survived by three nephews, Russell Smith Jr., Parris Smith and Atticus Padilla, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Arthur Wolbert; paternal grandparents, Lorman "June" Shook and Kathleen Luc; and stepgrandmother, Dorothy Shook. Family and friends are being received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 High St., Freeport.
