His first wife was Aleta L. Reves Cramer. They met in a TB hospital in Missouri. She died in 1984.

JAMES CRAMER- James Grant Cramer, 78, former Yavapai County Sheriff, died Sept. 22, 1992 in Phoenix. He was born June 18, 1914, in Everett, MO, to James G. Cramer and Effie B. (DeWeese) Cramer.
Mr. Cramer was a member of the highway patrol for one year, assistant chief of police in Prescott, for two years, Yavapai County Treasurer for three terms and Yavapai County Sheriff for four terms. He worked for the Arizona Department of Transportation, retiring in 1976.
He was a member of the Elks Club No. 330, Moose Lodge, Odd Fellows and was instrumental in organizing the Yavapai County Jeep Posse. He was appointed to the State of Arizona Retirement Board.
His first wife, Aleta, preceded him in death in 1984. His stepson, Randy Berry, also preceded him in death in 1984.
His survivors include his wife, Susan Cramer, of Prescott; seven stepchildren, Gayle Kent of Fort Worth, Texas, Glenn Berry of Blue Springs, Mo., Dean Berry of Columbia, Mo., Cheryl Sisk of Page, Dennis Berry of Grand Junction, Colo., Janice Yearry of Helena, Mont., and Marsha Painter of Page; a sister, Audra McHargue of Adrian, MO.,
a brother, Lawrence Lyn Cramer of Adrian; several neices and nephews, 25 stepgrandchildren and 10 step great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, the Hampton Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorials to: Community Hospice, Phoenix or Barrow Neurological Center, St. Joseph's Hospital, Phoneix.
