Siddie V. Widick - Pueblo Chieftain - February 18, 1985 - Siddie V. Widick, late of Penrose, passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, 1985, at a Colorado Springs hospital. Born March 3, 1907, in Chester, Okla., she moved to Cortez as a child in a covered wagon. A resident of Penrose the past 45 years, moving from Leadville and the Western Slope. A member of the Baptist faith. She was married Dec. 24, 1927, at Rico to Irvin W. Widick. He preceded her in death in 1978, as did two sons. Survived by three daughters and one son, Viola Martin and Wanda States, both of Penrose, Wesley Widick, Pueblo, and Jedymak, Spokane, Wash. Also survived by two sisters and one brother, Margaret Wertz, Florence, Edith Miller, Pueblo, and Pat Vinson, El Paso, Texas. Service, 1 p.m. Wednesday, Florence Mortuary Chapel, with the Rev. Harold Bostwick officiating. Interment, Penrose Cemetery.
