Mark was my wife Sherry's only son. He was a graduate of Georgetown University and was a licensed CPA with a large accounting firm in downtown Los Angeles. He bought a condo in Studio City CA and had a great life till he contacted his disease in the mid 1980s.

My wife and I took care of him as best we could during his slow decline. We live near the Cypress area and he was in the San Fernando Valley which made it hard for the commutes as I still had to work and keep a job. There were times my wife would not come home for weeks at a time because she stayed with him to take care of his needs. It was very hard for us to watch his body but not his mind wither away. He was living with his sister in San Pedro briefly at the end of his life because it was too hard to take care of him on a daily basis.

He was a great friend and always had a kind word to say coupled with sage advise, that I still use today. He is sorely missed by us and his three sisters he left behind. Mark departed us way too soon, a victim of the AIDs epidemic.

As a point of reference: Mark's maternal grandmother Lillian Y Jones and maternal grandfather Paul Jones are located in Forest Lawn Cemetery also, but in different areas.
