Mrs. Mary Alderton, widow of the late Wesley Alderton, and one of Parsons' dearest and grandest old ladies, passed to the great beyond Thursday last shortly before noon.

Had Mrs. Alderton lived until November 27th , next, she would have been eight-one years of age.

She was a patient sufferer of a complication of diseases which together with old age, was finally more than she could stand.

Mrs. Alderton was a Miss Miller before her marriage to Mr. Alderton who departed from this world some years ago. To this union was born six children, four whom are living and two dead, namely, Mrs. Maggie Whorrel, Mrs. Mattie Vanosdale, and four sons, William and Sam, restaurant proprietors of this city, and the other two having gone on before her.

Mrs. Alderton was a grand neighbor, and affectionate mother and one who was dearly loved by all who had the pleasure of having her acquaintance. Hence another has passed from our midst to reap the reward that comes to those who live the life that He, who so patiently bore the cross for us, wants us to live. Although her pleasant smiles and kind words will be greatly missed throught-out the entire community, yet tis true that she will be for evermore be with Jesus where all is eternal happiness and bliss.

Interment in the city cemetery Saturday afternoon. The Advocate, in behalf of many other friends and neighbors, extend to all the bereaved relatives their most heart felt sympathy.
