Funeral services for Wayman Kesner, 86, Caulfield, Mo., were Tuesday, April 14, 2009, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mr. Kesner died at 5:15 p.m., Friday, April 10, 2009, at Brooke Haven HealthCare.

He was born Aug. 3, 1922, near Tecumseh, Mo., to Kenneth and Virginia Bailey Kesner. On April 20, 1947, he was married in Baxter County, Ark., to Manie Ellison. Mr. Kesner was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Army in the European Theatre during World War II. Before his retirement, Mr. Kesner was a well-known farmer in the Caulfield area. He attended the Mineral Point Church.

He is survived by his wife, Manie Kesner, West Plains; two children, Pat Mitchell, husband, Dale, of Caulfield, Mo., and Larry Kesner, wife, Pam, Caulfield, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Amy Riley, husband, Heath, April Kesner, Ashley Wolters, husband, Joey, Daphne Bentley, husband, Miles, Elizabeth Clements, husband, Jeff, Robert Smith, wife, Heather and Luke Smith; 11 great-grandchildren, Tyler Williams, Nate Williams, Olivia Clements, Lacie Riley, Summer Riley, Zach Wolters, Jake Wolters, Alyssa Wolters, Caiden Smith, Nautica Smith and Callie Smith; two brothers, Owen Kesner, wife, Barbara, of West Plains and Lee Kesner, Medford, Ore.; four sisters, Roxie Miller, husband, Truman, of Bakersfield, Mo., Bonnie Renolds of Independence, Mo., Velma Doty and Dickie Upshaw, both of Portland, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents; five brothers, Dale and Don Kesner, Tom, Bill and Joe Bailey; and four sisters, Beulah Hamilton, Maxine Wolff, Minnie Thompson and Ethel Bailey,precede him in death. Burial was at White Oak Cemetery near Tecumseh, Mo. Memorial contributions may be made to White Oak Cemetery and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
