Basil Leonard Casto, son of Lloyd and Minnie Casto, was born Sept. 24, 1913 and departed this temporal life Jan. 30, 1940 at the age of 26 years, 4 months and 6 days.

He graduated from Pt. Pleasant High School with the class of 1934.

He is survived by the following relatives: his mother and father; one sister, Mrs. Hazel Irene Flowers of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Denver Lloyd Casto, at home; one niece, Janice Irene Flowers; his grandfather, J. M. Casto, of Leon; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services were conducted at the Creston United Brethren Church on Thursday by his uncle, Rev. William Casto, assisted by the Rev. Roy Davis.

The body was laid to rest in the cemetery there by the Vail Undertakers.
