On January 20, 1910, he was married to Mary Swager. They had three children. In July of 1917 the family moved to a farm east of Tekamah and in 1940 they moved to Tekamah. He had been employed at a number of Tekamah business places.
A daughter, Mrs. Almeda Hawkins, preceded him in death in January, 1968.
