Per the 1930 New London census Charles Morrell, age 28, was the husband of Frances A Congdon, she was born 1891. He is buried in the Congdon plot.

The parents of Charles Morrill are Fred H. Morrill and Mary A Miner (1871-1942). Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Navy following WWI where he served two enlistments from 1919-1921, and then again from 1921-1925. He served aboard the USS Eagle #33 which was a Submarine Chaser during his first enlistment. He subsequently served aboard the USS Denver and the USS Cleveland during his second enlistment. While serving on the Cleveland, he served a lengthy year-and-a-half long deployment to the Caribbean with service at Balboa Panama Canal Zone, Mexico, Chile, and Guantanamo Bay Cuba. He was a baker and was discharged honorably as a BKR 1C.
