OAK HILL, July 10 - John D. Pinkerton, 80, of nearby Willis Branch, died this morning in a hospital here. He was a retired miner.
Surviving are his wife, Nora, two sons, Ray of Kingston and Seibert Pinkerton of Pax, two daughters, Mrs. Hallie Flecther of New Port Richey, Fla. adn Mrs. Rosie Champ of Laing; two step-sons, Clarence Donald (Donell/Donnell) and Lee Donald (Donell/Donnell), both of Willis Branch; two step-daughters, Mrs. Mae Bowyer and Mrs. Myrtle Ratliff, both of Willis Branch; 56 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren,
Service will be in the Methodist Church at Wierwood at 2pm Thursday. Rev. C. G. Roark will officate, Burial will be in Knights of Pythias Cemetery at Pax under the direction of Tyree Mortuary of Oak Hill.
