Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of John P. and Minnie P. Ruth Henderson. She was the wife of the late James A. Diego who died in 1995.
She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Lancaster.
Ruth was an avid bingo player in the Lancaster area and enjoyed reading. She was a devoted wife, wonderful homemaker and excellent cook. She enjoyed her Saturday lunches with her daughter, Gladys, at the Country Buffet Restaurant and in later years, the trips to Shady Maple Restaurant for lunches with family and friends.
Ruth is survived by a son, Francis P., husband of Irene C. Diego, Reading, Pa and a daughter, Gladys M., wife of Robert G. Rampolla, Lancaster, Pa.
She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 10 great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Loretta Dickel, Helen Caldwell and Dorothy Katz; three brothers, James, George and Walter Henderson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ruth's Life Celebration Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Anne's Catholic Church, North Duke and Liberty Streets, Lancaster, Pa. with Fr.
