She was a homemaker who was a resident of Lancaster since 1956. She worked in production at Donnelly Printing for 10 years in the 1970's. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church where she also volunteered at the school. She enjoyed traveling, her dogs and spending time with her children.
She was a loving wife, valued friend and beloved mother.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Frederick C. and Alice P. Ryan Ackerman. She was married to the late William J. Brennan for 51 years.
Surviving are two children, Thomas J. Brennan, and Susan Brennan Hodgin, both of Orlando, Fla.; one aunt, Rita C. Engelkes of Orlando. She was preceded in death by one sister, R. Claire Drayton.
A private memorial service will be held at St. Joseph New Mausoleum. Family will receive guests at Mary Ann s house on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Lancaster Co., PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604 or the American Lung Association of PA, 630 Janet Ave., Lancaster, PA 17601.
