Herkimer
The death of Jeremiah J. Steele occurred at 7:30 last evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Bell, North Prospect street. The deceased was born Feb. 28, 1821, at Fort Herkimer, where he always resided, pursuing the occupation of a farmer. He was married on January 16, 1856, to Miss Mary Edick, besides whom he leaves surviving two daughters, Mrs. Charles Bell and Mrs. Adam J. Smith.
