SERVICES SUNDAY FOR MRS. NETTIE BADGER
Mrs. Nettie Badger, former resident of Beaverton, passed away May 11 at the age of 77 years at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Roziskey at Rochester, N. Y.
Mrs. Badger was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Toan of Portland, Michigan, and spent her early childhood days in that vicinity. At the age of 19 she married William S. Badger of Ionia, Michigan. As a result of this union six children were born, all of whom are living except one son, Burton.
Soon after marriage the couple moved to Langford, South Dakota, where they pioneered for many years. Later they resided at Portland, Michigan, and early in 1900 they moved to Beaverton, Michigan, where she lived until the death of her husband in 1932.
Mrs. Badger is survived by one brother, William Toan, of Portland, Michigan, and five children as follows: Marion Roziskey of Rochester, N. Y., Thomas Badger of Lyons, Michigan, Floyd Badger of Beaverton, Michigan, Derna Freeman of Detroit, Michigan, and Gladyce L. Badger of San Francisco, Calif. There are also nine grandchildren.
Mrs. Badger was a devoted mother and a kind and thougtful neighbor. She will be remembered for years to come in the hearts of her many friends.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. R. H. Nicodemus of the Beaverton Brethren church at Rogers Funeral Home Sunday afternoon at two o'clock with interment in Highland cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 5-18/1938
